What We Provide

What We Provide

We provide floor plans of residental and commercial properties to various estate agents, vendors, and energy surveyors using today's modern software. The floor plans we produce can come from hand drawn sketches that have been scanned and converted to JPG, PNG or PDF format. Additionally, we can redraw floor plans that were created from a previous time and used older software, which are now in need of a visual update.

We also provide further amendments to floor plans that are usually not possible with standard floor plan software. These amendments can consist of text labels, watermarks, custom branding, or layout changes to the floor plan itself etc. If you have a specific change or addition you would like to make to your floor plan, you can let us know and we will do our best to fulfil your request.

What is a Floor Plan?

A floor plan is a diagram containing the arrangement of one or several rooms of a building viewed from above. A floor plan typically includes:

  • Room names and their measurements
  • Doors (including type and hinge direction)
  • Windows (size and angle)
  • Fixed features such as fireplaces, cupboards, counters, sinks, and hobs
  • Baths, showers, and toilets
  • Stairs between floors

The purpose of a floor plan is to communicate the relationship between rooms at one level of a building.

FAQ

  • What software do you use to produce your floor plans?

We use PlanUp as the main software to create both 2D and 3D floor plans. Photoshop is then used to implement any additions or amendments. Floor plans by default are exported as JPG files, but if needed we can covert and send them as another image format such as PNG, BMP, WEBP etc.

  • What kind of amendments can you make to floor plans?

The kind of amendments we make are those that are not usually possible by PlanUp.

The list of amendments we can implement include:

    • 'Up' and 'Dn' labels added to staircases to denote direction of stairs on each floor.
    • Addition of titles, logos, branding, and watermarks.
    • Editing of showers and baths to correspond with how they look on site.
    • List of the approximate gross area measurements in a separate box.
    • Counters with curved edges or custom shaped.
    • Labels with arrows to pinpoint sections of a property.
  • Can these amendments be made to 3D plans as well?

Amendments that are text-based can be added to 3D plans, such as titles, labels, branding, measurements etc. Those that involve editing the structure and layout of the plan would prove to be more difficult due to the three dimensional nature.

  • How quickly do you produce floor plans?

We aim to produce floor plans within 24 hours of receiving a request, dependant on the current workload and any other work commitments. You will be notified of any delays that incur and be given an approximate timeframe from which you will receive your floor plan.
